There’s a small country called El Salvador, a place of raw, humble beauty, where nature moves at its own rhythm, effortlessly balancing dynamism and stillness. It was here, in 2012, that The Backroom (TBR) first opened its doors, in the back of a small, inconspicuous store. For us, it wasn’t just a shop; it was a space where beautiful things met meaningful connections - a platform for local artists to showcase their work to those who sought something unique and with soul.
In 2015, after only 3 years, we each set out on new journeys, and though we carried the essence of The Backroom with us, the project we loved so much had to be put on pause.
Yet, over the last decade, our appreciation for effortless beauty has only deepened. Our experiences, the people we’ve met and the places we’ve been to have shaped our perspective on style, identity, and what it means to move through life with confidence. We realized that, at our core, we still want the same things we did back then:
